Peace-off's Ruff offshoot smashes along with its 5th release, a split 12" from Starkey (Philly) and Bong Ra (Utreg), cut loud and deep for maximum bass pressure.
The a-side features Starkey's remix of Lupe Fiasco's "Kick Push" which originally appeared on Dev79's 'Street Bass Anthems' mixCD. Starkey takes a screwed up acapella and twists it into a street bass beat that equally sits next to dubstep and hiphop. First time this anthem is available on vinyl!
For the aa-side Bong Ra drives full force into breakstep mode with "Sissy Spacek." The tune opens with towering synths alongside sparse percussion, but morphs into the second drop where Bong Ra flexes his drum editing prowess.
A diverse release which could only be Ruff.
